American Express Fashion Week Skybox

It’s most definitely many a girls dream to be able to sit at a Fashion Show for a top designer during Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week! I for one was extremely excited when I learned that I had the opportunity to sit at Jill Stuart’s Fall 2012 show at Lincoln Center.  I had the pleasure to view the show from the exclusive American Express Fashion Skybox.

Celebrating its tenth season as a sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, American Express continues to showcase its dedication and commitment to the fashion industry through its evolving roster of tailored experiences. With the return of the coveted Skybox Space, the Cardmember Lounge perched high above the runways, Cardmembers were given unparalleled access to the week’s most exciting shows from the comfort of the plush VIP lounge.

It was clear to see the reasons why in Jill Stuart’s world — it’s fun to be a girl, again. Floral sheaths, peter-pan collars, her exclusive prints in gorgeous colors such as iris blue, purple and rose popped against a black background. Sexy platform patent and suede shoes accented these flirty looks while celebrities such as Olivia Palermo took in the show.  You can find out the chic details regarding how the models looked so fabulous for the show, below — with the inside beauty scoop. Hi, everyone! I always like to share the fact that I come from a journalistic background. My brother is an accomplished book author. For example, my father was the staffer and researcher for New York Times Pulitzer Prize winning columnist William L. Safire and has been the PR man for former Presidents such as Gerald R. Ford. I sometimes feel as if I have to defend my interests in fashion for fear of being stamped “superficial” or vapid, because much to the contrary I have a deep side (just like most of us do in life).
