American Express Fashion Week Skybox

It’s most definitely many a girls dream to be able to sit at a Fashion Show for a top designer during Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week! I for one was extremely excited when I learned that I had the opportunity to sit at Jill Stuart’s Fall 2012 show at Lincoln Center.  I had the pleasure to view the show from the exclusive American Express Fashion Skybox.

Celebrating its tenth season as a sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, American Express continues to showcase its dedication and commitment to the fashion industry through its evolving roster of tailored experiences. With the return of the coveted Skybox Space, the Cardmember Lounge perched high above the runways, Cardmembers were given unparalleled access to the week’s most exciting shows from the comfort of the plush VIP lounge.

It was clear to see the reasons why in Jill Stuart’s world — it’s fun to be a girl, again. Floral sheaths, peter-pan collars, her exclusive prints in gorgeous colors such as iris blue, purple and rose popped against a black background. Sexy platform patent and suede shoes accented these flirty looks while celebrities such as Olivia Palermo took in the show.  You can find out the chic details regarding how the models looked so fabulous for the show, below — with the inside beauty scoop. Also, I would like to share a video clip that I took while chatting with Jill immediately after her NYFW show! She discusses her love of vintage fashions and how they influence her lovely collections!

Susan Sarandon sizzles in Lanvin Paris.

When I heard one of my favorite actresses of all time Susan Sarandon along with her daughter were posing in exquisite images for luxury retailer Neiman Marcus, I just had to share the news with the DailyFashionista.com readers!

Neiman Marcus announces Susan Sarandon and Eva Amurri Martino as the artists featured in The Art of Fashion campaign for Spring 2012. The campaign includes 14 portraits of mother and daughter and will appear in the March edition of the newly refreshed Neiman Marcus publication, the book. Debuting nearly 20 years ago, The Art of Fashion was a revolutionary step for a retailer as the campaign was designed to feature cutting-edge fashion and provocative photography.

In keeping with that legacy, this year’s Art of Fashion was shot by photographer Mark Abrahams. The portraits artfully capture mother and daughter in a way that appeals to and connects with women of all ages. Designer merchandise featured in the campaign includes: Burberry Prorsum, Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Donna Karan NYC, Etro, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, J. Mendel, Lanvin Paris, Oscar de la Renta, Prada, Tom Ford, Valentino and Vera Wang. The Art of Fashion campaign will appear in the first version of the refreshed Neiman Marcus’ the book. Building upon the book’s signature fashion and beauty features, new lifestyle-oriented editorial content will be supplemented into the oversize magazine.

“The March issue of the book not only features the celebrity power and beauty of Susan Sarandon and Eva Amurri Martino in a rich pictorial campaign, but it also debuts new editorial departments.
