Dana Prigge' Bloomingdale's runway event
Quicker than you can utter the words, “Where’s my jacket” — fall will be upon us! Bloomingdale’s well-known for luxurious, chic style and fashion forward looks contacted DailyFashionista to host and style their “Mad About Fashion” Fall event! As the seasons change and the weather becomes cooler, it enables us to customize our look and express ourselves with the use of layering! I want to thank Bloomingdale’s and their amazing PR department for awarding me the opportunity to feature DF’s Fall Favorites of the season to a packed crowd of women (and a few men).  There were also various writers such as Kyrzayda Rodriguez of Love and Dresses, Yessenia Ramos of  “A Mommiez Fashion Diary“, Carla Ortiz of “Haute Cocktail“, Jacquelyn Mavrookas of “Eventfully Jacquelyn“, Mariel Alvarado of “Lady Savant“, Adrienne of DailyFashionista.com and it was also great to see Luis Villacres of Hugo Boss in the crowd.  Photographers from Bergen.com were there to capture all of the fashionable action!

City dressing is all about versatility and being able to go from day to night. This flattering dress from DVF Diane Von Furstenberg will certainly take you from the office and beyond. We love the retro-inspired print. Top the look off with the jacket of the season — a leather moto-jacket by All Saints.

It’s fun to keep it chic. Who says that classic lines aren’t sexy? We can’t begin to tell you how many compliments this model received as she strutted down the Bloomingdale’s runway in this amazing Tahari tweed sheath dress. The makeup artist added a bold fuchsia lip for added appeal. A Fendi purse in a pop of color and Marc by Marc Jacobs statement necklace completed this look. Don’t be shy and add edgy accessories, such as these leather grommet-detailed gloves.

Leather can now be worn to the office and beyond. This Hugo Boss leather skirt was to-die-for . The color of the skirt and the the way it was cut is so flattering on the body. This model rocked the look with a pretty Gerard Darel blouse and Links of London layered necklaces. Links of London is a brand favored by Kate Middleton and the pieces were gorgeous.

A wool fedora is such a great way to add a little mystery to your fall look. Think “undercover chic.” This colorblock jacket by Marc by Marc Jacobs was a real head-turner. Many who attended the runway event were saying that they wanted this piece.  DailyFashionista adores Marc Jacobs and all of his designs, so we also are a fan. With a slight military influence, but with an air of added whimsy with accent colors in burgundy, blue and tan this warm jacket can be worn with many outfits. The skinny jeans with patch accents are also by Marc by Marc Jacobs. The burgundy/wine color Ray Ban shades the model wore are perfect for fall!

Another notice-me look was the Ted Baker London ensemble. Florals can also be worn into fall. We saw this as this look graced the runway. The skirt was gorgeous and can definitley be styled to reflect your personality.  If you wear the skirt with a leather jacket, you can make the look more street chic; or you could give it that upscale Park Ave. feel with a blazer and a chain-link bag. Ted Baker London has a great collection for fall including a chic tan coat we noticed.

Lace, illusion, and layering are trends you will see a lot of this fall season. Don’t forget that statement scarf in a mixed media graphic print. I love this Eileen Fischer dress paired with an All Saints scarf and leather moto jacket . Also: your moto jacket doesn’t have to be black. Choose a wine as a neutral instead and rock it out with your entire wardrobe. Fall can be flirty.
