#DFStreetStyle: Chic Vacation Style

It’s time for adventure! We all have had those “what do I pack” moments. I certainly have been there a time or two. The key is to pack items that you can style a multitude of ways. I opt for effortless chic pieces when packing — you look great, but not as if you’re trying too hard. That’s what is so nice about the summer – we can slip into a sandal, skirt and accent with a necklace & great lip gloss and you’re feeling fabulous. This past weekend I visited Newport, Rhode Island with some wonderful journalists and bloggers. We stayed at the Gilded Hotel which was absolutely gorgeous.

There are some items that are must-haves when I travel and I wanted to share them with the DailyFashionista.com readers. One of my favorites is this pretty long Y chain initial necklace by Jane Basch jewelry. You can easily dress this necklace up or down. Delicate jewelry is really in style and Jane can literally make anything your heart desires into a beautiful monogram piece. Another must have are comfortable sandals. These golden gladiators with a touch of bling from Aerosoles are where fashion and function meet – love them! Another item that I can’t be without when I travel is a fabulous watch and of course flattering lip gloss. I opted for these pretty colors by Glamour Dolls Makeup in Topless and Naked Banana. They both are a versatile, peachy nude that look amazing with a tan. I couldn’t decide because they are both so stunning, so I brought them both for the weekend!
