Just like that a new week has begun. Trust me when I say that I totally understand the work, life, relationship, family and wardrobe/beauty challenge. I have been learning that it’s not about owning a quantity of items. It’s about owning enough quality items that can have you looking fab and feeling confident in a New York minute. This doesn’t necessarily mean that everything has to be expensive either. Sure, I realize that I’m wearing Louboutins in this picture, but truth be told they aren’t new.
DailyFashionista.com’s key ingredients in creating a chic at-the-ready look start with a good pair of shoes, a flattering dress, a quality handbag, great blazer, a signature lip-gloss, classic sunglasses and statement jewelry. These are all pieces that can be re-worn and re-worked into so many different looks. When you head out to shop buy things that resonate with your lifestyle, try items on to ensure fit and just because it has a high price tag — that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s for you. Whenever I go to purchase something, the thought of value and whether I can wear this again come into play. Creating a signature style for yourself can be easy, just gravitate towards what feels right and what will make getting ready easier! In this outfit, the Kate Spade handbag I purchased at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is something that is a wardrobe builder in a season-less tan (meaning I can wear this forever). My latest obsession is this lipgloss in Serenity by Gerard Cosmetics and Manny Mua. Another great signature piece is a monogram statement necklace and this delicate style is by Jane Basch. Add in a Wonder Woman style statement cuff and you’re ready to take on the world! Have any style questions or want to connect? Tweet @DanaPrigge I enjoy making new acquaintances. I’ll allow the below photos to tell the rest of this style story.
