Hi fashionistas! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be stuck on a couch during the summer-time? All of your friends are heading off to the pool for a swim but you can’t join them. As a matter of fact, you are having problems moving your right hand, and your legs don’t seem as if they want to cooperate. Blow drying your hair seems a monumental task because you don’t have the muscle strength to lift a hairdryer and a Poland Spring water bottle feels like a heavy two-ton weight. I’m talking about Multiple Sclerosis. This disease is tricky and affects so many of us out there. When pr maven/friend, Stefanie Cronin asked me to support this fundraiser — I didn’t hesitate for a moment. It was a nice crowd consisting of friends, family and we all had a really great time!
I was so happy to be there — in heels and all!! I was in the city at an art gallery showcase and drove right back into NJ immediately following, so I could drop by and see everyone. This positive evening was to show support for “Team Shultzy“ and raise awareness for MS. Steven Shultz, who I met that evening, has the disease and is doing his best to get through it. Multiple Sclerosis can be wicked. Staying positive, being proactive, informed, trying to stay active and eating healthy — all help. Surrounding yourself with true, caring and genuine friends does wonders. That is why I wanted to see Stefanie and meet Steven!
