These days, I feel as if many women talk about empowerment, but what’s truly admirable is when someone takes genuine and powerful action. I was invited to an influencers brunch at Fig & Olive to preview the latest designs from the Diamonds Unleashed #SHE’SBRILLIANT collection.
There are many aspects to this line that make it very unique. Created by jewelry designer Kara Ross, Diamonds Unleashed in partnership with CanadaMark celebrates women’s strength, independence and solidarity. 100% of net proceeds are donated to She’s The First and Girls Who Code; charitable organizations that support women’s empowerment.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was personally greeted by Kara Ross herself and Jaclynn Brennan. It’s really nice when you attend an event and the designer is so open to greeting everyone. From there, someone walked me over to a pretty step and repeat set up with the flirty Diamonds Unleashed logo. After posing for a few pictures, I then walked up to the most gorgeous (see photo, above) table setting. The custom tablescape was created by Kim Seybert. From the diamond shaped napkin rings, to the place settings and the coasters — everything was gorgeous. It was nice seeing fellow colleagues, writers and bloggers at the table. A positive vibe filled the space and the meal at Fig & Olive was delicious and elegant.
We then were given the options of different designs for a custom #DU manicure and a chance to deck our hands in diamonds and show off our pretty nail looks in a fun mani-cam! As I walked over to the diamond collection, of course I was in awe. You could tell by sight alone, that the quality of these diamonds are incredible, as are the unique fashion forward yet timeless designs and settings.
Kara then spoke about how hard working women should be able to treat themselves. She also shared how she came up with the idea in part when she wanted to re-set a diamond of her own. As women we should empower ourselves to wear what makes us feel brilliant.
Any time I am around powerful women in business it’s an opportunity to learn something. Kara is a dynamic woman with an impeccable eye for style, yet humble and wants to uplift her fellow fashionistas. She also has a perseverance when she believes in something — a quality that I admire. Various celebrity ambassadors both female and male along with other positive minded individuals are sharing what their diamond means to them.
