The phrase “life is meant to be enjoyed” is something that has really been resonating with me. Unwinding, taking in a beautiful view, having enjoyable conversation and a delicious meal is time well spent!
Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Edgewater Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar located at City Place a gorgeous open air shopping destination in Edgewater, NJ. There is nothing better than a relaxing and fun date night, or gathering with your friends! When I arrived at Fleming’s I was immediately greeted and was asked if we would like to dine outside. This time of year is perfect for outdoor dining and the sweeping views of New York City can be seen from Fleming’s dining areas.
We started with some refreshing cocktails and the Rose’ Fizz was off the charts tasty (Herradura Blanco tequila, lemon house made grenadine, sage, topped with sparkling rosé). A cheers to the evening was in order and inspired by the sparkling city views. Next up, homemade breads and crisps were brought to the table. Summer is the perfect time for a tasty salad so we started with their Caesar salad (hearts of romaine, parmesan, fried capers, crisp prosciutto chips) and Housemade Burrata with Prosciutto for appetizers. The salad was really great and the burrata was creamy and incredible!
Next, for entrees we both went with steak. How could we not? Fleming’s is iconic for this! I had the Petite Filet Mignon and my date had the Ribeye. The steaks were extremely, tender and juicy. We also enjoyed a few of the sides, baked potato and creamed spinach. I had seen pictures on social media of the carrot cake and we shared this for dessert. The carrot cake was one of the best I’ve ever had! A cappuccino was sipped while watching the lights dim along the Hudson River.
I truly enjoyed the vibe at Fleming’s and seeing the other couples, besties and families just having a good time, great conversation and a fabulous meal.
