I was looking to add some fun and adventure into my “date nights.” There are the usual dinner and movies and well, I have been doing that for years. It’s time to mix things up! When I heard about the Hilton Short Hills Tasting Series via their Instagram page, I was intrigued! Me and a date or a gal pal could learn the latest culinary techniques from their Executive Chef Richard Kennedy. A generous tasting is prepared, you learn how to make the featured dish and enjoy a delicious evening. Many of the tastings are paired with wine, champagne, whiskey and spirits, so it’s a really fabulous way to try new foods! Conveniently located in Short Hills, New Jersey and across from the Short Hills Mall there is plenty to enjoy.
The Dining Room at the Hilton Short Hills has a monthly tasting series event. At the tasting series their Executive Chef prepares food live in front of you, engages with the guests and educated us on the meal. Whisky from Hillrock Estate Distillery paired with Bok Choy, Bacon wrapped Trout and appetizers of Prosciutto Pizza, Beet Salad and Ancient Grains Risotto were served. Everything was so tasty, the whiskey was so good and I even met other cool couples — what a fab time.
Chef Richard Kennedy is a Jersey native and hospitality veteran who has been at the hotel for over ten years and has worked over 20 years as a Chef in the Northern New Jersey area. He also has a love for making fudge from scratch. And I can say, an incredible chef! Everything was amazing.
The February Dining Series (up next) is going to be romantic, you can get further details by clicking here. The event costs $40 per person. Have any questions?! Tweet @DanaPrigge I enjoy connecting with you. Cheers to more fabulous date nights! I also hear the spa at the Hilton Short Hills is a must visit, I’ll have to venture there again soon!
