There is something about your personal space, where you spend time that can truly lift your mood. I find that keeping things neat, and clutter free enables me to feel more at ease. Also, adding cheerful elements and relaxing elements can also set the vibe of your living room.
Here are some of my easy as 1,2,3 ways to make your space feel welcoming and positive:
- Trader Joe’s has been my go-to stop lately for fresh flowers. Do not sleep on Trader Joe’s because they literally have an impressive selection of flowers for a wonderful price. I also like Whole Foods for a quick flower pick-up as well.
- Coffee Table books are another way to infuse some personality into your living room. We can travel anywhere via books and add interest to our table set-up. This Kimono and the Colors of Japan book by PIE International (Editor), Katsumi Yumoto (Contributor) is so beautiful. By adding a pop of color with this gorgeous book, it really brings that interesting element for myself and guests. When you have neutral decor these whimsical touches really matter. This distinctive volume reveals a unique antique kimono collection through various delicate Japanese colors and their use in kimono. Such a unique book!
- Home Goods candle holders are another favorite as well as their pillow selection! I’m very into crystals and that bohemian look lately. For under $100 I was able to refresh this room at Home Goods. When you start with a neutral backdrop you can easily switch out pillows, add different accents with various accessories and seasonally if you feel like it!
