If you follow along on Instagram and social media, then you know that I really enjoy traveling to Orlando, Florida from New York City multiple times during the year. There is nothing like the Florida sunshine and sunsets. The warm temperatures, palm trees and vibe are uplifting! Besides our shared love for Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, my date is also an avid golfer and just a few more reasons why we enjoy our Florida vacations.
One of our favorite resorts in Orlando with full enthusiasm is The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. Located at One Grand Cypress Blvd., Orlando, Florida and situated on 1,500 gated acres the hotel offers glistening pools, beautiful grounds and gardens, golf course, tasty restaurants, poolside treats and a beautiful macaw in the lobby that greets you named Merlot. I could easily go on and on about how fabulous this hotel is. If you’re looking to relax in the hot tub complete with water fall feature they have that too. There are various water activities and you can kayak on a lake or take a bike ride around the grounds.
Upon arrival, check-in was a breeze and our room over-looked the picturesque pool area. This is also a great view to take in nightly firework shows from the theme parks! The bed was cozy and the room also had a pull out couch and walking deck. The shower was big and bathroom was modern.
Location is also key. With all of the new additions to Disney Springs, The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is literally minutes from all of the Disney Parks and one of our favorite places to shop and dine! We spent multiple days and nights popping by Disney Springs. There are however, so many great places to dine at the hotel! The breakfast buffet at the Lake House is delicious. The made to order omelettes by the Hyatt chef are so tasty, fresh juices, smoothies and more can be enjoyed. For dinner, we dined at Hemingway’s a highly rated restaurant within The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress grounds. I had the lobster dinner which was incredible and my guest had the Rib-eye. The ambiance, service and food were impeccable.
I also like to get my hair blown out while on vacation. It just makes enjoying my nights easier. When I’m away, I really don’t want to fuss with my hair. The Marilyn Monroe Spa at the Hyatt gives fabulous blowouts. So I was relaxed and feeling pretty. They offer many services including massage (maybe, I’ll do that next time).
There are so many wonderful picture moments and opportunities on the grounds here. The hotel also has an interesting history and the grounds here are very unique. The atmosphere is one of relaxation and fun which is the perfect combination. This is the second time I’ve stayed here and we will be back.
