DailyFashionista.com always appreciates fashion with a deeper meaning. We recently had the opportunity to review the designs of Margaux Minutolo, creator of Karma for a Cure. Inspired by tropical jaunts, a peaceful mind-set and creating positive Karma for all — we couldn’t wait to see what this visionary had up her sleeve.
Philanthropic lifestyle brand Karma for a Cure premiered their SS2016 Jet Set Collection on Sept 17th at Hotel Chantelle in collaboration with cocktail app, Hooch. A private presentation with a live performance by European DJ Raffael De Luca transported guests to a swanky Hotel Lobby aside retro suitcases, palm leaves and models lounging in sophisticated yet comfortable threads. Earth tones, bronze halos and soft wearable pieces had us dreaming about our next warm weather vacation. With interesting cuts, flirty hemlines and a dash of witty intrigue, a top that read “Permanently on Vacation” immediately caught our attention.
Karma for a Cure Founder & Creative Director, Margaux Minutolo, was inspired by her father’s battle with cancer to create a brand that celebrated his life of travel, adventure, and good karma. The contemporary collection of neutral knits is relaxed, transitional and chic, ready to voyage from jet set to surf side. The brand’s mission is to create positive social impact in honor of Minutolo’s father. The SS16 collection is only the beginning of meshing fashion and philanthropy during NYFW.
