When I heard Sarah Jessica Parker one of my favorite actresses and fashionistas was going to be at Bloomingdale’s Short Hills, you didn’t need to twist my arm to go! A devout fan of hers for years, I’ve always admired her ability to be a risk taker not only in her career in Hollywood, but her fashion choices as well.
I took a leisurely drive on a Saturday to Short Hills Mall and was excited to meet Sarah Jessica. When I arrived, Bloomingdale’s was packed with like-minded women hoping to meet Sarah and have their shoes autographed. Although the shoe department area was very crowded, Bloomingdale’s did an amazing job of making sure that everyone was able to enjoy their shopping experience. I selected the shoes I wanted which are the SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker Naomi Metallic Glitter Peep Toe Pumps. They personify where timeless elegance meets trend which really is my style aesthetic. At that point we waited on a line with shoes in hand to meet Sarah Jessica herself! I almost felt as if this wasn’t really happening. As a fashion journalist it was a dream to meet her and speak about my career choice journalism and the character she played, Carrie on Sex and the City.
It was finally time to meet Sarah and she was so down to earth and really cool. She actually helped make sure that my shoes fit like a glove. I have met various celebs and have interviewed some and I will say that SJP was one of the nicest, for sure. The shoes retail for $385, but they are honestly the most comfortable pumps I own and the craftsmanship make these worth the price.
