With the holiday season approaching, bringing with it hustle and bustle, I was looking for a chill stay-cation. Basically a not too far location where we could have a relaxing evening and enjoy a delicious dinner. I heard the buzz about The Time Nyack Hotel (Time Hotels are always amazing) and had a feeling this was going to be a winner.
When we pulled up to the hotel, we were immediately taken in by the building which has a modern loft-like feel. And when you walk in the lobby everything is open and airy which is really important to us. The decor… as you can see from the pictures is trendy and cool. It’s really a fun environment to kick back and enjoy the night. The town of Nyack, New York has some quaint shops, so this is the perfect mixture of trendy and timeless.
Details are important when you go to a hotel. Is there a good coffee maker? Is the staff friendly and accommodating? What about views and that cozy robe? The Time Nyack checked off all the marks. It’s nice to have a Keurig in the room, the staff was so welcoming, the views were of the Nyack waterfront and that robe was super cozy. The bathroom was sleek and spacious.
After we settled in, we popped downtown to Nyack and enjoyed a leisurely stroll to check out some of the shops. The town of Nyack is all decked out for the holidays and it was so nice! Next up, we freshened up for a dinner at BV’s Grill, the restaurant within the hotel. I’ve heard good things, but I like to try a restaurant out for myself to give a true opinion.
The staff at BV’s again was so cordial and the meal was delicious. We started with the mozzarella, which was just perfect with their artisan breads. Then, I had the pasta dish with vegetables and my guest had the pork chop both cooked so tasty! I needed a little pick me up, so cappuccino and dessert were in order. Let’s just say the apple dessert was amazing and cappuccino just right. We actually had waffles the next morning before we checked out with fresh berries and those were delicious too. You can check out the menu at BV’s Grill, here.
We then walked over to the fireplace area off the restaurant and enjoyed some cocktails (their mojito is amazing). After a restful nights sleep (their beds are super comfy), we had some waffles and checked out. The Time Nyack was just the weekend escape we needed from the busy NYC metropolitan area. It’s so close and convenient yet you could feel the stress just melt away during the picturesque drive.
