There is nothing better than a weekend escape to the beach and for some fun! Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the Tropicana Atlantic City for a weekend of poolside relaxation, fabulous dining, a chance with lady luck and shopping (of course). The drive from Northern New Jersey was easy and we arrived quickly.
When we pulled up to the hotel, the valet was very helpful and our bags were taken right away. We were staying in the Chelsea Tower and I was immediately impressed with the decor. The look was that downtown city vibe and everything was immaculate. Our room which was spacious overlooked the pool and the beach. There’s just something about seeing the beach that immediately puts you at ease. Pictures of the room are below; the bed was very comfortable, large shower, well-lit bathroom and plenty of space for our luggage.
Next up was dinner at the Chelsea Five Gastropub. The vibe of this restaurant was amazing. We were really impressed by the space and the food. They really take comfort food to a new and elevated level. The lobster roll was so fresh! One of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had (and that’s saying a lot because I’ve been to New England). Our waiter was friendly and made some great suggestions throughout the evening. My date really enjoyed the Rib-eye Cheesesteak, it was tender and delicious. You can view their tasty menu, here. They also have some incredible desserts for those that have a sweet tooth. We then had a couple of drinks at the Whiskey Five Bar, the mojito was delicious and we played some pool!
The following morning we grabbed a hot Starbucks in The Quarter and headed out for a stroll on the beach. I wanted to get on the beach when it was fairly quiet to enjoy the peaceful views. We also stopped by the shops within the hotel for a little shopping and I spotted many of my favorite stores including Francesca’s and Bluemercury spa.
We then decided some poolside relaxation was on the agenda and went to the Cabana Five Bar and Pool Deck at the Chelsea Tower. It was relaxing because everything was extremely well located! This is a rooftop pool with full-service bar, poolside dining and cabana rentals. This pool is for Tropicana guests age 21+. The cocktails were so refreshing and lunch was delicious. The cabanas are a great way to relax and have some fun with your friends, too! Overall, our stay was top notch and we’ll be back.
